Q: How to stop or pause control of printers
A: The ObjectPrint runs as a Windows service when installed on Windows,
and it can be stopped paused using the Services control panel:
• Browse to Service within your Control Panel -> Administrative Tools.
• Find the service name ObjectPrint and Right-click on the service.
• Select the option you want to perform (e.g. Stop/Start/Restart).
Q: How to control remote print server/workstation
A: ObjectPrint can track and control printing for shared and local
printers on the remote print
server/workstation with ObjectPrint installed software.
On the remote print server/workstation:
• Right click on the ObjectPrint Log folder ("C:\Program
Files\Fitosoft\ObjectPrint\Log") and select the "Sharing" menu
item.
• Setting security on a folder before you share it. Select the users
or groups you want to have full access to the ObjectPrint Log folder
from the dropdown box in the File sharing window.
• In the folder's properties, click Share this folder.
On the local print server/workstation:
• Start ObjectPrint Explorer.
• Click File -> ObectPrint Servers... and select remote print
server and shared ObjectPrint Log folder.
To remove ObjectPrint server, right-click a name of server, and then
click Remove from Navigator.

Q: How to backup ObjectPrint data
A:
• Start ObjectPrint Explorer.
• Select Settings on the Navigator and then select General tab.
• Click Backup button to backup or click Restore to restore ObjectPrint
data files .

You can manually back up ObjectPrint data. To back up the whole contents of the ObjectPrint:
• Start ObjectPrint Explorer.
• Select Settings on the Navigator and then select General tab.
• Click Open button to open ObjectPrint Log path.
• In Windows Explorer, choose all '*.db' and '*.log' files that you
want to save, and then select the Copy To Folder to backup data
files.
Q: Which port number does ObjectPrint Client use?
A: It uses the port 1560 (TCP). That port must be accessible
from the Internet on the machine running ObjectPrint Client.
ObjectPrint Clients can also connect to ObjectPrint Server using
named pipes (\\.\pipe\objprn23).
Q: Does ObjectPrint Client support multiple languages?
A: ObjectPrint Client actually does support multilingual
interface. The language support stands upon a text file in the *.ini
format. If the language you are looking for is not yet available,
you can easily add a new language file yourself. If you want to
create your own language file, copy the english.ini file to a new
file with a name like german.ini or french.ini and then edit the new
file.
